A South Indian savoury fermented crepe like pancake, although savoury, this pancake has a slightly sweet taste. Made from rice and black lentils, which is turned into a batter and cooked like a crepe. Traditionally served as a breakfast dish, this can be added to a curry meal as a starter, or light bite for brunch.
Served with a chutney and lentil stew sambar, which is a vegetable stew cooked with peas and tamarind broth. Plain Dosa is gluten free and suitable for vegans.
